Named After The British Cabinet Maker Thomas Chippendale, This Style Is Presented In The Form Of Rococo Furniture In More Modern Forms And Modifications. Restrained Carved Elements Also Featured In Chippendale's Designs, As Well As Delicately Curved Legs And Straight Furniture Sections. Thomas Chippendale, The Famous English Carpenter After Whom This Lowboy Is Named, Reflected The Popular Taste Of The Period From 1750 To 1780, Such As Neoclassical Motifs, Exquisite Carvings, And Intricate Designs. Which Preceded By Hand-carved Acanthus Leaves, Brass Shields, Convertible Legs And Claw Feet, And Was Created Around 1850 In The Early Victorian 1830 - 1850. The Chest Of Drawers Is In The Restored Condition. The Surface Has Been Polished With An Elaborate Patina, And The Body Has Been Carefully.
